I'm Kristin and I like Saturdays and the Rocket Summer, night skies, and that lovely stare. And Chad Sugg, of course.

Aaron Tveit & James Franco as Peter Orlovsky and Allen Ginsberg | Howl (2010)
ladidadidadi:
Howl is such an amazing movie and an amazing poem. I love how raw Beat Generation poetry is, and specifically Allen Ginsberg’s frankness. This movie is great because in dealing a blow to the censorship of literature argument, it portrays “Howl” as it was meant to be portrayed. It’s spectacular in weaving the entire poem throughout the movie complete with James Franco as Ginsberg delivering it and animation of the poem alongside poignant quotes from an interview Ginsberg gave on “Howl” and the progress of the obscenity trial. The visual animation of the poem is superb. I can’t even express how fantastic I think this movie is but I think I was bound to love it because it is a movie about a poem (an outstanding piece of poetry, even); and really, how often do you come across those?
